The Villy Day Out has just had its 4th event in November with over 1,000 people attending. Local businesses, service providers, Local Schools Performing and 400 Hangi thanks to The Pumipi Whanau. "It's all for love, coming together to celebrate the community."- Bobby Joe Paikea What an amazing thing to do, and to put together for our community ❤ Phill O'Keeffe Paikea has turned his life around from a gang member to an anti-violence campaigner and he runs SafeMan Safe Family Aotearoa in Ruakaka, an anti violence peer-led programme and mentors men and travels around the country. He has also helped many Whānau locally, after a sad series of events this year including providing kai, karakia, korero and shelter. We see you both and we thank you for all you do for our community! You are our Smooth Local Legends ✨️ Massive thank you also to our partner PAK'n SAVE Whangarei too for providing the winners and the nominee with a handmade in-store Fresh-a-licious cake.
