Fastaff is thrilled to announce Gidget M. as one of our Nurses Week VIP Campaign winners. Gidget M. has been selected as one of our VIPs for their outstanding contributions to healthcare and dedication to nursing excellence. Take a minute to read their story below.

We also want to extend our thanks to Natalie for recognizing their dedication.

Gidget's Story: “Gidget was caring for a patient who underwent surgery that was going to be quite painful to recover from. The doctor prescribed medication to help with pain control in the form of narcotics and medication to help with spasms, amongst other meds. The family informed Gidget that they did not have enough money to have the medication covered and that the surgery was already going to be a big expense for them. Gidget took it upon herself to produce almost $50 and personally walked down to the pharmacy to pay for and pick up the medication for this family. Gidget did this out of the kindness of her own heart because she did not want to see her patient suffer, nor must her family worry about finances. In my 10 years of nursing, I have honestly never seen something so caring and courageous. Gidget has not yet been recognized for this courageous act, and I think this would be the perfect way to acknowledge what a great nurse she is.”

Gidget M. will be awarded the choice of a ticket to TravCon 2024 or a $350 gift card, and Natalie will be awarded a $50 gift card for her winning nomination.
